Life Update 8/5/26
A whole lot happened, but not much has stuck. Its kinda funny, as I was looking in my drafts, I had two different older update posts that never made it out. So a quick short roundup. My back is functional now. After lots of PT, I am around 80 percent of "normal". I can do most things, but I am still extremely careful to do a ton of stretching, because if I don't, I will feel it hard!
Animals
We have gone through two dogs. Maya, who is the first dog I ever met that hated me. When it got to the point of her not eating when I was home, we gave her back. And most recently, we had Sun as a trial. She unfortunately ended up being extremely aggressive, despite the boundaries that we made for her. Our amazing trainer Leora said its not worth it if we aren't in love with her, and we weren't. So she is back with her rescuer, hopefully something will work out for her. I miss my Hun Buns terribly.
We are currently helping a sick kitten. She was abandoned too early by her mother and has a double eye infection. She's really cute, but stinks to high heavens, we need to get her some worm meds from the vet. We are hoping to get her adopted by a human or one of the sweeter street cats. She is currently the size of a typical android phone for reference.
Work
Photo editing has been extremely slow. I am doing a gig to set up Splashtop RMM, some Entra stuff, and Sentinel1 XDR for my old workplace. Hoping to take a couple more courses and go back into IT. We shall see what happens.(Can't wait to have my resume bot, fight with the recruiters resume bots oh boy!)
Apartment
Our landlord is still being a scumbag and not fixing the sewage situation. He is trying to sell it as well. It's been a giant clusterfuck trying to even get a reduced rent payment. We are looking for a new place to live, but the price to salary ratio in Israel is insanity. Not to mention a full time job. God I hate moving.
Blog
I have a lot of hardware reviews that really need to get done. Hopefully they will come soon if I can manage to balance everything going on a bit better.
