Today is day number 22 of the Kaffebox advent calendar today is a El Limonar which is a Colombian, it's an Arusi variety both of those i'm not familiar

with. I think we actually did have an Arusi earlier in the calendar as a washed process.Harvest was August 2025 and it's 1800 to 2000 meters oversea level and roasted by Nord cafe.The tasting notes on this are bright balanced strawberry and floras.

Brew recipe

• they gave us a three-pour recipe which we did
• we did not hit the drawdown that we wanted to hit we hit 3:30 instead of 2:45 to 3:00 and i think that was because i added an extra swirl at the end.

so we shall see how this goes with the first cup

• the ratio is 17/288 grams of water
• 94 celsius at 600 to 800 microns

Aroma and first cup

Initial smell of this coffee is giving a washed Ethiopia vibes actually its definitely bright and strawberry and floral on the aroma.

The initial sip of this coffee is that it has a ton of potential but I
think I kind of destroyed it with over extraction at the moment but we'll see how it tastes as it cools down. We will be brewing this again to give it a fair shot

Coffee is definitely strawberry and floral forward um but i think we killed the acidity as mentioned before so a current cup is like a six out of ten. I see a lot of potential so i'm going to brew this again and see how it goes.

Second brew

Okay i brewed this coffee again and we hit the recipe time that we wanted.

I'm getting like strawberry and florals but in a washed sense,
it's a little bit more acidity forward but i don't know if it's a
a much better cup

This coffee is fine but it's not really sticking out as anything
special so i'm going to go ahead and rate it

Scores

• the aroma was above average i'm going to give it a 7/10
• the acidity is a 7/10 on this cup
• sweetness is a 7/10
• body is a bog standard 5/10
• and flavor is going to be i don't know i guess a 6/10

Nothing really stood out this coffee, not super impressed be fair I'm gonna go with my initial reaction, actually I'll bump it up a little I think we'll say a final score of 6.5/10 on this guy.
