Honey Update 1/8/25 ðŸ˜
Bloodwork, X-ray,Cultures, CT, Sonogram+EKG all results are inconclusive.Yesterday the specialist on the EKG said its most likely an infection +cancer . We can try to clear up the infection with targeted antibiotics from a lab culture. We are waiting on those now. After the infection clears up we can try to do a biopsy to see if it is cancer. Since there are no visible signs anywhere this is our only option as it's an extremely tough case. We were told by our friend who is a human radiologist that he would think for a case like this it would potentially be an autoimmune disease and try steroids but the vets aren't willing to entertain that. At this point we are going to hail mairy on the antibiotics but we don't see putting her through a biopsy and then hoping its treatable cancer and than putting her through chemo.
My wife said it better than I ever could have.
"we are getting ready to say goodbye to Honey. She was improving for a bit but she crashed again and we're spending our last few days with her.
No I am not ok, for those asking,we are both complete wrecks.
If you have any specialized vets that would be willing to even glance at our case we would be immensely grateful.
We love our Hunn Bunn.
