Answering the 40 questions: A end of the year Post

I was trying to come up with a end of the year blog post for the past few days and I was having a difficult time structuring it and starting it. I came across this blog post from Doug and today and thought it was a good way to go about it. The original Idea is from the Obsidian Ceo, Steph Ango. 

1. What did you do this year that you’d never done before?
   Started (trying to, lol) taking care of myself as my body has been breaking down.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions?
   I didn't make any hard new years resolutions, but I did most of the things on the list. I missed video creation and video editing mainly, I only hit 63 out of 100 blog posts.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
   Yes a few people, but this is fairly common in my community.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
   No, thank god.
5. What cities/states/countries did you visit?
   We went to the USA to Lakewood, Monsey and Cleveland, which was a horrible trip. Went out to a nice city nearby called Neveh Daniel. Didn't travel much....
6. What would you like to have next year that you lacked this year? Peace of mind and fewer health issues.
7. What date(s) from this year will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Dec 20th, we thought we would lose our dog Honey.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
   Getting through the trip to America with terrible sciatica and mostly keeping up with work and growing my Business.
9. What was your biggest failure?
   Budgeting and taking care of bureaucratic stuff.
10. What other hardships did you face?
    The usual mood and money issues. Work-life balance.
11. Did you suffer illness or injury?
    Terrible Sciatica.
12. What was the best thing you bought?
    A tossup betwee the Miyoo Mini + and the Kaffebox Advent Calendar.
13. Whose behavior merited celebration?
    My wife, taking care of me and moving Jobs to what works for her. My adoptive parents Dr. and Mrs. Samuels. My adoptive brother Moshe for always sticking by me. My Rabbi and his wife for always being available.
14. Whose behavior made you appalled?
    My community at large. Some other people that I cant mention here. It's been a very hard year with a lot of people I interact with.
15. Where did most of your money go?
    Rent, mental health things and Honey's health.
16. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
    Miyoo Mini + , Expidition 33 , Ghost CMS, Legend and Lattes, This decaf, this coffee, and the Kaffebox Advent Calendar.
17. What song will always remind you of this year?
    Expidition 33 sound track
18. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? Thinner or fatter? Richer or poorer?
    Happier, Slightly thinner, poorer in money.
19. What do you wish you’d done more of?
    Saying no!
20. What do you wish you’d done less of?
    People Pleasing.
21. How are you spending Christmas?
    Jewish and working lol.
22. Did you fall in love this year?
    Nope, happily married.
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
    No, the hate has been pretty steady, lol.
24. What was your favorite show?
    Tulsa King.
25. What was the best book you read?
    Legends and Lattes.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery of the year?
    Not sure.
27. What was your favorite film?
    Ballerina is the only thing that pops into my mind. Haven't watched much this year.
28. What was your favorite meal?
    Motzash with Noam
29. What did you want and get?
    An E-ink Phone
30. What did you want and not get?
    I want a lot of things but the thing that sticks out is a new set of screwdrivers.
31. What did you do on your birthday?
    Dk.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Removing my sciatica.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion this year? More poppy and super business casual.
34. What kept you sane? My wife, my friends, my dog, coffee, music, and video games.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? I wouldn't say fancy but Destiny has been the most impactful this year.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
    Everything! Though mainly the Jewish shift to Maga as the Messiah
37. Who did you miss?
    Nosson, Grandpa, Noam, Dave, and Yisroel.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
    Person: nobody, animal: Squawky the Cat RIP.
39. What valuable life lesson did you learn this year?
    Take care of your body, I learned it the hard way
